The AJ Bell Great South Run is probably the world’s favourite 10 mile running event (there’s a 5k option too), with inspiring history, salty air and glorious sea views guaranteed. Portsmouth’s supporters will keep your spirits and motivation up the whole way round, with blaring music, cheers, high fives, fist bumps all part of the incredible Great South Run experience. Plus, there’s a medal, an exclusive finisher t-shirt, and bragging rights at the finish line. There’s a reason our runners say they’d recommend it to a friend – lots of reasons, in fact.
Since 1990, we’ve seen hundreds of thousands of runners cross the finish line, millions raised for charity, and unforgettable moments made along the stunning South Coast – We can’t wait to see this year’s runners on Sunday 19 October as we celebrate 35 years of greatness.
Great South Run participants must be aged 16+ (10 mile) on the day of the event.
